On the Farm Today: August 5th
Opening Day for our CSA members started this past Tuesday and Thursday. (today)
What is a CSA? Community shared or supported agriculture. You pay a one time fee and get a bouquet of fresh flowers from our farm once a week for 8 weeks.
We tripled our CSA from last year. Lots of flower lovers out there. Thank you so much for supporting locally grown not flown flowers.
Is there a flower shortage? YES! Just like everything else, the pandemic made its impact on the floral industry as well. Us flower farmers have become a saving grace for many folks and florists. Wedding florists are not able to get in what they are use to. This isn’t good for those getting married. I have personally known 7 people as of today that either were stranded the day before without flowers or their florists came up short. This has helped the local flower farmers. We want the florists to come to us. Our flowers last longer. Period. Plus you are supporting a locally owned business. The majority (over 80%) of flowers come from South America and California. So give us a call. BUY LOCALLY GROWN NOT FLOWN FLOWERS!
The weather has heated up again. If you were fortunate enough to be here on last Tuesday, oh what a blissful evening to pick your flowers. Our members enjoyed the soft cool breeze, the sweet smell of flowers and the sun going down on their necks. It was wonderful.
If you and your loved ones would like a night to pick flowers and cannot make a Saturday…text me! Set up a time to come and enjoy the place to yourselves. You won’t soon forget the memories, pictures or flowers. Take care.
