On the Farm Today: July12, 2021
1. My husband John, bought me a trolly as my friend across the Atlantic calls them. What a glorious surprise and it will be so helpful with the farm. Excited. It holds 1000 pounds. In case you want to know. Those are the things the men in my life like to know.
2. Murphy’s Mission. Murph is our first dog to buy a CSA membership. He wanted us to gift his flowers to others in need. So we did! Sorta… we found out someone in our community had been sick for 3 weeks and needed a boost. So we went to Browns Family Famers Market and bought some flowers and made two big pots of annuals to cheer her. We left it on her porch in Ross. Thanks Murphy, she was overwhelmed with joy. Praying for her still.
3.Well it must be super surprise Saturday because I got 2 surprises today. My husbands friend Doug Peter handmade a wooden post for our flower farm sign. It is beautiful! So excited for all of you to see it!
3. I am working on getting letters and cards out to CSA members so they can soon enjoy fresh bouquets this summer. No green or hoop house leaves us at the mercy of mother nature and a membership that is later in summer but goes until September. My members enjoy it this way. When we all start to nest, you can decorate with our flowers and they definitely cheer you up.
That’s all for now folks. We hope you enjoy your weekend. Ross Garden Club coming Monday! Should be fun!
