On the Farm Today: September 1st

HELLO EVERYONE!

I cannot believe it is September! This summer has brought us beautiful flowers and people to share them with. We have never been this busy. That is a good thing! I could not do it without the help of my husband John and our two sons, John and Bode. I will tell you that even our dog Henry makes my job better. Henry goes out every morning with me to water, weed, harvest, plant, rake etc. He just follows me and then sits close until I am done. Michelle is my right hand. Love her! She is the best. My Tuesday night crew is awesome as well. Margy and Wendy come every week and help maintain our flowers. All of these ladies do this on a volunteer basis. We pay them in flowers and half the time they just say,”save them for someone else!” They are all just lovely ladies and I appreciate them immensely. I also appreciate all the new pickers and private pickers and flower farmers and florists who have been buying form us this year. We are so happy to be able to build our business with others that are in need of fresh blooms! Woman supporting woman owned businesses is wonderful! We have lots of events this month. Girl Scouts are coming, several private u picks and celebrations and we are hosting a unique event on the 24th of September. Limited spaces available. Keep an eye out for more information about that.

Be sure and check our website or IG and Facebook for U Picks. We are here as long as the weather holds out and the flowers are growing.

Have a wonderful month watching nature and all its changes as we head into the cooler months and our bodies and earth prepare to slow down. Keeping in rhythm with nature is a great way to help stay focused.

Be well friends!
